Delegates from an international
sustainability convention were among more than 700
visitors to Business Focus 2011.
The 2nd Global Summit on
Sustainability, organised by the World Council for
Corporate Governance, UK and the Institute of
Directors (India), offered delegates the opportunity
to participate in a tour of the city before meeting
representatives from the local business community at
the business-to-business exhibition.
The 2011 event incorporated an
Environment Showcase to promote the city’s ambitions
to become the UK’s Environment Capital.
John Bridge OBE, Chief Executive
of Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce, which
organises the exhibition in partnership with The
Business Club, added: “The inclusion of a trip to
Peterborough within the conference agenda reflects
the city’s growing reputation for environmental
excellence and innovation, and it will be a great
pleasure to welcome its distinguished delegates to
experience what local companies have to offer.”
